Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991, London) is a multi-talented English actress, filmmaker, model, and environmental activist—best known for portraying Ginny Weasley across all eight Harry Potter films


Early Acting Journey


Wright's acting journey began at just nine years old when she landed the role of Ginny Weasley. She became one of the few actors to appear consistently throughout the Harry Potter saga—from Philosopher’s Stone to Deathly Hallows Part 2.Over the series, her character gained depth—joining Dumbledore’s Army, playing Quidditch, and evolving into a memorable heroine.


A Creative Force Behind the Camera


After graduating with a B.A. in Filmmaking from the London College of Communication in 2012 Wright founded her production company BonBonLumiere. She made her directorial debut with the acclaimed short Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012), which premiered at Cannes.Since then, she’s directed other shorts and music videos, including the graced Phone Calls at Tribeca and Medusa’s Ankles (2018)
